    Eva feels like the breath is knocked out of her lungs when the man walks in.

    Dirty blond hair. Blue eyes. Sort of like… if Ryland Grace was hit by a car several times. It was undeniably him.

    “So you’re Eva Stratt,” The man says gruffly, slamming both hands on her desk. He looked exactly like Ryland, it was terrifying. It felt like watching a ghost haunt her in real life.

    “You’re the crazy woman that sent my baby brother up into space. Let’s talk, yeah?”

    Ryland Grace woke with a start, opening his eyes before quickly squeezing them shut against the bright light of the room. His head was tipped back, the top pressing back into a soft surface. Turning his face to the side, away from the direct view of the light, he gave a few cautious blinks until his eyes adjusted. After a moment, he carefully looked up, rolling his head into an upright position to look around the room.
    It featured two rows of reclined leather chairs, the back row elevated slightly above the front. The right arm of each chair featured a few buttons on a small keypad. In each seat there was a member of the Project Hail Mary research and mission team. Most of the members were blinking awake like he was, although some were still unconscious.

    The members of the Project Hail Mary find themselves in a cinema, forced to watch a film which supposedly shows their future. Their captor tells them this will allow them to save Earth (and Erid) but how?

    There are two main things that Star Fleet teaches when it comes to handling visitors. 1. Always keep at a safe distance till you are certain the individual is not armed, this has proven difficult amongst the endless possibilities for weaponry that present themselves to the ship. 2. Only approach if you are certain that the individual or group can’t be mediated with from a distance.

    The blonde man (obviously not his Spock), who’s glasses have all but repelled themselves from his face, curled in on himself on the transporter pad passes both those requirements. There's a new recruit on the Enterprise it appears.

    It is an interesting coincidence that both Erid and Vulcan are based in the same star system, it is also an interesting coincidence that the USS Enterprise and the Hail Mary occupy the same exact physical plane when a transporter incident disappears one Cmdr. S'chan T'gai Spock and Dr. Ryland Grace from their respective ships.
