So, this is one more “what if” fic, featuring an idea where Valentine experimented on Alec as well. As a result, his life goes in a very different direction (not being a constant part of the NY Institute, for starters).
I also find Johnatan’s character to be a source of AU ideas for me, so he is part of the whole Valentine messing with Alec thing.

In which, Shen Qingqiu managed to jump into the suspicious shop in between realms and bought himself a villain halo before actually jumping back to the same world he had completed. But is it really a villain halo? Why did everyone look at him like he was a fragile glass?
It is not a villain halo. Shen Qingqiu was scammed, he was convinced he was scammed. Now becoming a villain would be 100x harder than it had been.

But Five wouldn’t answer, Klaus knew. Not yet. Convincing Five to open up took finesse. For starters, Klaus had to get him talking again, so he tossed out the first question that came to mind – “Hey, did you and Dolores break up or something?”
