Instead, Brienne is assigned Dr. Jaime Lannister, a sharp-tongued, demanding man seemingly disinterested in being an advisor. However, Dr. Lannister isn't the first person to underestimate Brienne, and she refuses to let him have the last word.

"Who are you?” he asked, voice sharp, as if already annoyed by her mere presence.She held out her hand for him to shake. “I’m Brienne Tarth. You were assigned as my graduate advisor and I--”
He stared at her hand for a moment but didn’t bother to take it. “It’s the first week of the semester.”
“I know, sir,” she said, dropping her hand, wishing away the blush that she knew stained her cheeks. “But I thought it best to introduce myself and--”
“Come back when you have something to show me,” he said, looking back down at whatever he was working on. She stood dumbly, staring at him, the sinking feeling of her old friend humiliation settling heavy in her throat.

Enter Jaime Lannister: her handsome colleague who is also perpetually single, much to Brienne's confusion. But as tends to happen, the perfectly reasonable solution to a perfectly ridiculous problem gets a little more complicated.

“You asked me for a favor.” He places his elbows on the table, leaning over them, getting even closer to her. “And that favor was for me to sleep with you.”
Brienne might have a heart attack or vomit, there’s really no way to predict at this point, both seem imminently likely. She miserably answers, “Yes.”
Jaime’s eyebrows furrow again, his mouth firming in concentration. It’s possible the most painful part of this entire conversation is how well she knows his face, his expressions, how easily she can read him now.

Bucky feels like his new life is pretty good, for the most part. Steve and Sam don't hit him, they don't make him kill anyone if he doesn't want to, and they don't treat him like an animal.
They don't give him any orders, either, though, and he can only go so long without eating.
(HYDRA never allowed Bucky any autonomy whatsoever regarding his own body, even down to telling him when and what and how much to eat, and he's finding it hard to adapt to being the captain of his own ship again, as it were. Sam and Steve notice and are promptly horrified.)
