His face was clean, not a single scar or staple was left. He ran a hand down the side of his face; the smooth skin felt weird after all these years.
He examined his features with wide eyes. The painful scars around his lower face and mouth were gone; he could actually move his cheeks around without the sting that came with stretching the leathery scars or smile without the staples that held his face together pulling uncomfortably.
He no longer looked like a fried raccoon.
He actually looked really good.

The kind of tiny you are when you're a 13-year-old boy.
