Summary
The labyrinth is old and worn, and it can only eat one thing at a time.
The corridor he was in was only a foot taller than he was, and with both arms spread out beside him, Izuku could easily touch both walls on either side. The stones were thick and heavy, all bonded together smoothly, with no cracks to pull at or gaps to reach through.
His fingernails were raw and aching from trying anyway.

Summary
Faint crackling electricity, like the fabric of a windbreaker rubbing against itself, covering the sound of shifting rubble and settling dust. It’s a sound Katsuki’s heard a thousand times before, usually preceded with a shout from Deku saying One For All-
“Full Cowling,” Katsuki whispers, staring and grasping for words. “What the fuck.”
Deku is standing near Katsuki’s feet, back bowed forward like Atlas and body lit up with a green so bright it’s incandescent. Blackwhip escapes from his arms in countless tendrils, lightning arcs off his body every second, and there’s a faint tremble running through his legs.
He’s terrifying. He’s beautiful.
He’s holding the fucking building on his shoulders.

Kacchan’s grip on his hand tightens, as he moves Izuku’s pointer finger up and down on the schematic. “Redundancy. Pay attention to me. Here. And here. I thought you were a fucking expert.”
“I am,” Izuku protests, and his face turns bright red, even as Kacchan lets go. “I am an expert!”
“Okay, genius,” Kacchan scoffs and Izuku’s stomach does a flip. “Fuckinʼ act like one.”
Touch me again, Izuku thinks, and for once he’s glad that Kacchan can’t read his mind at all.
or: Izuku doesn’t believe in luck. Being born as a non-telepath on a planet full of them will do that to a person.
Then Kacchan’s ship crash lands in his yard (and he starts to hope again).
