Summary
This story takes place multiple decades after the "Fires of Raven" ending of Armored Core 6. I have to be honest, it's not super important to know the plot of that game, but familiarity will probably lend to the reading experience. This story does not feature any in-game characters from AC6; it is a post-canon work of that fandom because one of the endings, plus the way the Armored Core world works, makes a fantastic jumping-off point for the story I wish to tell.
Regarding the warnings and tags: you'll find that the first chapter contains hardly any material worthy of such intimidating metadata; however, this is going to be a long one, and Seriously, This Author is Very Easily Distracted. There will be wrong turns, unnecessary scenic routes, and extremely drastic tone changes into MUCH darker territory with very little warning. I would advise not getting invested if any of the tags do not appeal to you, no matter how welcoming and relatively tame the first three chapters are.
A secondary note: this story will not contain a single character with a functioning moral compass. Not a-one. I'll elaborate further in the notes.
