Hello everyone! This is an au I've developed with the wonderful Smieska in which the prince started out a painter who was always warned to stay away from Subcon’s Forest, rumored to house magical fey that can make humans disappear with a taste of otherworldly food, a surrendering of a name, or something as small as a thank you! But when he takes a commission that involves painting the mysterious ruins deep in the forest, he soon meets the fey queen, who is eager to keep him by her side… Meanwhile, the florist forgets someone dear to her, but not even the queen’s magic can erase the memory of the smile embedded into her heart. She would move mountains for that smile, but could she be too late to find it again? It depends.

Summary
In this au developed with the lovely Smieska, the prince seeks out the fire spirits’ help to keep the bite of Vanessa’s ice at bay. They give him a potion that turns him into a moth! He wakes up a century later with no memory and in a decaying forest destroyed by Vanessa’s ice. Luckily, the fire spirits lead a curious young girl to his cocoon and Hattie, a descendant of the villagers who managed to escape Subcon before the fatal winter ensnared the forest, takes him to her grandfather’s bookstore.
This series will be a collection of short stories cataloguing the moth prince’s journey to remember himself as he adjusts to life as a moth. While his past looms like freezing storm clouds, his new family is warm.
