When asked in the past by curious sons of what happens when a person dies, Baelor Targaryen sat them down and patiently explained that the Faith of the Seven teaches them that the righteous are blessed in the Seven Heavens as long as they lead a virtuous life and repent for any sin committed. He had never questioned it himself.
Falling to a blow by his brother's mace while defending what was right, even against his own family, Baelor should have been feasting in the Father's golden hall and waiting until the moment he would be reunited with his family. That did not happen.

A week later she was killed, and he and his sister were put into foster care. Put into a war zone more like it, spending everyday fighting for their lives. Especially when Truble started to see Wesen too.
It’s not easy to try and keep what they are a secret, but he’ll do his best. All while trying to do his duty as a Grimm to help protect people from Wesen, Wesen from other Wesen, even from people.
It might be hard, but Nicks a Grimm. He’s from a long line of fighters and protectors. He doesn’t need anyone else’s help.
He doesn’t. No matter what some people may say.

To make matters worse, he’s had to spend the last seventeen years chasing his father around the world, while he chases shadows.
Needless to say, Arvis is getting pretty tired of running. It’s fortunate, then, that his next lead puts him in Portland. Unfortunate, perhaps, that it gets him embroiled in the bullshit plotting of the royals, but there’s a light in every dark.
And this time, Arvis might just be able to see it.
