Antinous has won, and now Telemachus-- married and acting as an "advisor" to the new king in an attempt to protect his mother-- now acts as nothing more than a pet and play toy for him and the suitors. Now he grapples with surviving and maintaining his sense of self while the men use him as they please and slowly chip away at his resolve. He swears that his father will return and save him, but another part of him struggles with maintaining his sense of self and not becoming a mindless pet for these bastards.
