"Wei Ying," Lan Wangji repeats, breathing ragged. Up close, Wei Wuxian can see that his eyes are red rimmed. His hair is more disheveled than it usually is- which is still way too neat in Wei Wuxian's opinion. Lan Wangji's shaking fingers reach out to cup his face. "Late," he croaks out, voice hoarse.
But it is a normal occurrence for Wei Wuxian to return late in the night. This, however, is not.
(Lan Wangji has nightmares about Wei Wuxian's death and his husband is there to keep him reassured and loved.)

Wei Ying blinked out of his daze.
“What?” He then realised that he had been shivering. When did that happen?
“I’m fine!” Wei Ying sputtered, looking earnestly at the man before him. He would be fine if he weren’t so distracted by the hands that seemed to cover his entire waist.
The man gave him a look as if he knew he was lying, then sighed softly.
“Come with me, you will get sick.” And finally, mercifully, the hands slipped away from his waist, and Wei Ying could finally breathe.
Wei Ying falls for a golden eyed stranger in a storm. Literally.
