“No.” Lloyd stumbled backwards. “No way. I’m not – I’m not departed! I’m not dead! I’m not!” His hands shook. A chill passed through his body, making him shiver. “I – I can’t be dead, there’s no way – ”
“Well, you look dead. Kind of.” Morro mumbled the last sentence, tilting his head. “People who are departed look… like ghosts, I guess. With a blue tinge. Plus, they’re transparent. Living people look normal. But you…” The ghost’s voice trailed off. “You look… weird. Shimmery. Like you’re not quite dead, but not quite living either. Look.”
Lloyd looked down at his still shaking hands. His shimmering, blue - tinged slightly transparent hands. “What – how – ” Words refused to leave his mouth. “I don’t – why?”
Morro sighed and pointed to a familiar dragon - shaped figure in the distance. “If I had to guess, I’d say it had something to do with the guy who tried to eat me.”
OR: What if not all of Lloyd’s soul came back to him? What if Thunderfang took some of it with him to the Spectral Lanes?

Summary
Kai was already having a bad day before he was zapped to another dimension.
First, his powers were stolen by Aspheera, which she then used to attack Ninjago City (again), and the monastery is next on her "revenge" list. Things started looking up when Kai grabbed the scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu and his powers returned--but then he got blasted to a world that's similar to his own, but not quite. A world with high school ninjas that desperately need a big brother to guide them. And hey, maybe they can guide Kai along the way too.
That is, if the scroll doesn't corrupt him first...

Cole could feel the liquid all over his hands as he continued chest compressions.
In which Lloyd’s fight with Garmadon was brutal and bloody, leaving the ninjas to keep him alive.

"So..." Jay rubs the back of his neck anxiously, "I think I have some stuff to catch up on."
"Oh yeah, I'll tell you all about it! Welcome back, motormouth."
Jay forces a small smile in Cole's direction, but again, something is painfully wrong; It should bring him joy to see the others all together again, especially his yang and his best friend, but for some reason, he feels nothing. Emptiness with a bit of guilt and sadness, but otherwise nothing. Just more proof that he's damaged on the inside, where no one can see it.
Or; Jay gets his memories back but not the person he used to be.

When they opened, he was standing and breathing properly. The lock on his muscles faded but the cold did not. He straightened and brushed off his gi.
He only had one thought.

Takes place a few weeks after WDKYMYS, and Lloyd has this sense of someone watching him. But it couldn't be true, because he'd just recently been through a traumatic event, so it had to be from that...right?(Hint: it's not.)

As Sora continued to list any possible ideas in her head, she slowly made her way up to the wall by the kitchen, perking up at the sound of quiet breathing… shaky. Hesitantly, she poked her head inside.
In the reflection of the glaring moonlight stood Lloyd in the middle of the kitchen, holding a half-opened tea bag.
“Oh. Sora.” Lloyd tried to smile. But never mind his hand tightly gripped on the corner of the kitchen counter, his knuckles growing paler by the second. Not his trembling legs, about to collapse under him at any given moment. Not his long, unkept blond hair, having gotten more tangled since last week. Not his failed attempt to try and make himself look presentable at all in the moment. “Glad… glad it was just you.”
The terror in his eyes remained the same.
Or: Sora accidentally stumbles upon a stressed Lloyd.
(Takes place before Dragons Rising Season 2!)
