The broadcast cut across every screen in Ninjago City, television sets in shop windows, neon billboards, even the static hum of radios crackling in taxis. The words rolled heavy and cold:
“Effective immediately, elemental powers are hereby forbidden within the bounds of Ninjago. All elemental masters will be required to wear Vengestone suppression cuffs in public spaces, for the protection of our citizens.”
The announcement spread like wildfire, each repetition driving the message deeper into the air. The governor’s face was steady, composed, but his words carried a sharp finality that left no room for negotiation.
The ninja weren't watching it from the comfort of the monastery. They were still shaken, still trying to piece together what had just happened.
Hours earlier.What should have been a simple robbery had turned into a nightmare.

Summary
Lloyd couldn't sleep. How could he?
His students had both gone with Ras.
His soul practically got ripped from him for several moments.
Jay lost his memories and absolutely hated them.
But speaking of the brunette, Lloyd found him sitting alone in the courtyard, where the moonlight poured in through the open area and pooled around Jay’s braced leg. The wind was light. Cold. It made the silence sharper somehow.
Jay didn’t look up when Lloyd approached.
He hesitated, standing just out of reach, unsure of what to say. What do you even say to someone who used to be your brother… and now barely knows your name?

Summary
Night patrols were supposed to be boring.
That’s what Kai had told himself as he leaped across rooftops, the cold air nipping at his skin. He and Lloyd had taken up the shift together, keeping watch over the city. But, of course, Lloyd had taken off ahead, disappearing into the streets below while Kai stayed high.
“Not exactly patrolling together if you ditch me,” Kai muttered into his comms, adjusting his earpiece.
Lloyd’s voice crackled through. “Relax, Kai. Just checking something out— I think I heard screaming. I’ll meet you at—”
A sharp crack cut him off.
Kai slowed to a stop. “Lloyd?”
A low, distorted growl came through the comms.
Then—the screaming started.
Kai’s stomach twisted. “Lloyd?! What’s going on?”
No response.
The comms crackled with static, but underneath it, he swore he heard Lloyd’s voice, low and strained.
"Run! GET AWAY!"

Lloyd’s voice slipped into a slow, eerie melody, the tune familiar yet warped, his tone light, mocking.

Sora escaped Imperium, she met her future best friend. She became a ninja, later on the elemental master of technology. She won the tournament of the sources, became known as the greatest elemental master in all the merged realms.
However, Sora doesn’t have a best friend anymore. She lied. She hurt him.
This felt familiar.
Sora doesn’t remember why though.
She doesn't remember much.
Sora doesn’t know why looking into Ras’s eyes filled her with so much rage.
Sora doesn’t know why she felt such deep-rooted fear that flared up when she saw Zeatrix for the first time.
Sora doesn't know why that Imperium girl hated her so much.
The strange stabbing feeling at her heart whenever she looked at her, felt like someone had died.
Maybe something did.
Because Sora escaped Imperium.
And Ana died on a stake.

Kai’s fists tightened on the controls. He could feel the weight of his earlier decision bearing down on him. He had stayed in the air to protect the city, but now he couldn’t ignore the people still clinging to survival below.
“Jay,” Kai said into the comms, his voice steady but resolute.
“Yeah?” Jay replied, his tone strained as his mech zipped between buildings to tether another piece of debris.
“I’m heading down to help with the civilians.”
“WHAT?” Jay’s voice cracked. “You’re leaving me up here? You know I can’t—”
“You can,” Kai interrupted, his tone firm. “You’re doing fine. The debris isn’t as bad now, and you’re faster than me anyway. But those people—” He glanced down at the chaos below, his heart sinking. “—they need us. I can’t just ignore them.”
