“Hello,” Jake softly says, as a way to not scare the alpha. It doesn’t work, because he lets out a squeak and drops the book that he’s holding, hand coming up to clutch at his chest. He looks up from his crouched position and Jake tries not to coo.
His name tag is clipped onto his apron, and Jake’s eyes roam over it.
Heeseung. It’s written delicately and decorated with flowers surrounding it. It’s so cute, Jake’s heart tightens like a tightrope.
“Uh…” Heeseung lets out, eyes refusing to meet Jake’s as they flit nervously across the room. He backs up into the bookshelf like he’s scared Jake is going to hurt him.
