Summary
TLDR; BadEnding!Sunny goes to OMARI Alternate Universe
After SUNNY jumps off the roof of the hospital building, he wakes up back in the past on the day of the incident. Not wanting to repeat the same mistake he did last time, he manages to save MARI and change everything, going into a coma for six years. MARI blames herself and becomes a reclusive shut-in with her own mental trauma of the event. Eventually, SUNNY wakes up to find himself in a different reality than the one he's familiar with, and will have to deal with a sister who's still alive but dealing with her own guilt and suffering from the incident that ruined both of their lives.
Friends are similar, with minor differences. BASIL seems much healthier in this reality, but is he really?
Once everything is over, will SUNNY find the strength to forgive himself for the sins he committed in the previous reality.

Summary

Summary
1 year has passed, and Sunny decides to visit Faraway for Mari's 5th death anniversary.
The plan is simple: Visit the graveyard, and immediately leave. Do not meet anyone else.
But an encounter with someone familiar is about to change his whole life.
And of course, a dying old flame in his heart begins to rekindle once more...

This is the single most depressing Sunburn fic probably ever created, second only to Broken Space. Sunny leaves Faraway after telling the truth, and leaves his friend behind, with no way to contact them. After a year of being bullied for his missing eye and timid nature at his new school, he takes a visit back to Faraway to visit Mari’s grave. But he is surprised to meet Aubrey there as well. She reintroduces him to the friend group, and from there, it’s pure angst, with just a small dash of hope to keep you going. It’s very well-written, and the few OCs it introduces are excellent characters that serve great purpose in the story, especially Rudy, who has a genuinely incredible character arc for an OC in a fanfic.
