Regardless of what animal represented your soulmate, they would remain at your side through thick and thin to provide comfort and support when their soulmate could not. Soulmates came in many forms; partners, friends, siblings, parents...
But nothing could have prepared Tony Stark for the little bundle of fur that would wake him one August morning, or prepare Peter Parker to meet the person behind his long-life feline friend.

Summary
In which Mr. Harrington scored the academic decathlon team a make-up field trip to Stark Industries. Flash has convinced himself, and most of his teammates, that Peter's a fraud when it comes to his 'internship' or the lie about him knowing Spider-Man. Though, as the field trip progresses, Flash must come to terms with the fact that maybe Peter isn't the liar he's made him out to be. Maybe all along, Flash has been the problem.
This is a part of a larger series and makes a whole lot more sense if you've read all of the other parts first. Howver, it still can be read and enjoyed as a standalone.

Peter couldn’t help the snort. If only the man knew that he was already working for him. “I’ll let you know.”
There must have been something off about his tone, because Tony narrowed his eyes at him and just stared for a few seconds. Peter tilted his head innocently.
“No way you already work for me.”
An innocuous comment sparks an idea that Spider-Man is a Stark Industries employee. Which he is, but surely that’s not enough to out him, is it?
Tony will not rest until his crazy theory gets proven correct.

Summary
Since her earliest memories Mirabel could see the threads connecting different people (and sentient buildings). She could see their emotions toward the other person and the strength of their relationship.
She could therefore see the changing relationships within her family, evolving from a golden love to a dark purple worry.
She could also see that most of the darkness was for her.
And so Mirabel makes a bargain with her house for her to runaway.
