Harry would like to tell him that his own life is also falling apart, thank you very much, but Malfoy wouldn't understand, and that's not entirely true. He has a place to stay, people who care about him, the prospect of a job. Even if Grimmauld Place suffocates him, the people around him are moving on with their life – leaving him behind, to pick up the pieces of the past alone – and what was once his dream job is losing its appeal day after day. "Merlin, Potter," Malfoy murmurs, with eyes so damp they seem about to overflow at any moment. "Remind me not to come crying on your shoulder anymore, I feel even worse than before."
