Atsumu must tilt his head back to smirk up at Kiyoomi from beneath the visor of his cap. “He’s not workin’ on quicks. You’d be a step ahead of him if ya did. He might even raise an eyebrow in surprise or somethin’ equally as scandalous.”
Kiyoomi stares at him, narrows his gaze as he scrutinises Atsumu’s face, the challenge in the upturned corners of his lips. “Are you attempting to manipulate me, Miya?” he asks.
“I dunno. Is it workin’?”
“Kind of.”
“Then yeah, I guess.”

He thanks every deity known to man that Kenma is a heavy sleeper as he finally presses pause on the video, slumping onto the ground and rubbing at the growing knot on his head.

Summary

What the fuck. You can‘t just write this and leave. Author needs to take accountability because this fic prolly had a body count.(Im kidding.)
This was such a painful read it‘s actually insane. I thought that because of the ending of IWIK, this one would be a happy and jolly sequel of sakuatsu, iwaoi, and other ships that were involved. I have never been so much more wrong in my life. You literally killed off iwaoi (technically you brought them back but.) During the scene where the evil shits were dissecting Suna and the twins, I panicked so much my BPM shot up to 132. I cried because I thought everyone there was gonna die, then kawa tweaked out and got his powers. Holy shit. One of the coolest things I‘ve ever seen come out of an Ao3 fic ong. I love the fact that old kawa said he can‘t travel further than a city or carry something heavier than a car because he‘ll die, but proceeds to teleport from all around the world and carried 6 people(!!!) out of a falling car. How is he not dead yet what the fuck.
Arguably, I think Kiyoomi went through the worst out of everyone in this fic. He just wanted to love his bf and live his life, but instead got his cousin‘s memory taken, drugged, bf taken 50 times, having your alter ego kill someone, get drugged, pass out in the olympics two times because of said drug, your bf‘s twin getting his memory taken because of your incompetence, forced to watch and remember everything as your alter ego kills thousands upon thousands of people, get banned from the sport you love most, have your alter ego hurt your bf‘s loved ones, have the weight of the world on your shoulders, lose your memory of your bf, lose every memory you have, come back to see the damage you‘ve caused after months of having no recollection of anything, paparazzi chases you for life because you‘re spiderman, get heavily taken advantage of just because you want to protect your bf,, and jesus christ so many more it doesn‘t even fit in here. Basically all 500k words were just Kiyoomi suffering 24/7, I rest my case.

Fuck you genuinely i cried so much reading this. It took me 15 straight hours to read this without the prequel and onfg. THIS WASNT EVEN THE WORST PART OF IT BECAUSE NOONE DIED. THE NEXT PART IS JS FUCKING WORSE. I was cursing iut the author every single tome i cried because you said noone would die. But everyone was always 5 seconds away from doing so. Like jesjs christ bro what yhe fuck.
One of the best fics I have ever read, it doesn‘t just rely on the cliché format of: sakuatsu hate eachother, get to be alone, get soft spot, kiyo tries to gets used to his touch, happily ever after yohoo!
Well tbh it kinda does, but its different ok u get me?
So many things happens in this, multiple character development that doesn‘t just go from pure hatred to love, it has stages that actually feel real and drags you into the fic more emotionally. Everyones dynamic is different, their personalities are flawed in a way only real humans have. They make decisions that cost them everything they have, they take their time even though there is no time, they do things in such a realistic manner to the point you forget they‘re just letters dancing on the screen.10/10, would read again. It hurts but it‘s worth it, maybe.

It’s not like Sakusa’s heartless, even if he is all reserved and stuff.
He doesn’t really listen to much else of what she has to say after that, deciding that he doesn’t really like her that much, and balls his hands into fists in his pockets.
