It starts, as most things do, with Kaveh getting drunk out of the blue. He sits at a table in the corner of Lambad’s tavern, nursing his Nth beer of the night. Empty glasses are scattered around him, the remnants of beer and other various cocktails cling to the sides of the glasses.

Alhaitham knew him better than anyone else. Even if he was smiling at everyone, joking around and all that, Alhaitham knew what had always been going on within his heart. But sometimes, there were also some surprising moments.
“Are you crying?” He questioned.
Kaveh, who had been sobbing away in the corner of the living room, looked up to meet his gaze, surprised at his sudden arrival.
He thought he was alone. Kaveh doesn’t cry sober in the presence of other people, not even Alhaitham.
