While trying to put the pages back in order, Enid notices something very interesting about Viper's new sidekick "Eden", something that might've revealed more about how Wednesday feels than she would ever admit.

And this time, the answer can't be investigated in a case. She can't mull over suspects or inspect crime scenes. No, this time, she is the conundrum. After exhausting her psychic ability to black tears, prophetic trances plague her next. Her whole body goes numb, eyes roll back to only the whites, and speaks. It's in a deep voice, strangely unlike her own. And everything she spouts is cryptic nonsensical verse, clearly nothing...until its something.
As these trances become more and more common, she weakens greatly. The white leaves her skin, fading to a pasty grey. Her eyes lose their darkness, and her bones their strength. What will be left of Wednesday if they don't figure out a cure in time? What could be causing these trances? What does all the gibberish mean? It all makes Wednesday want to exhume the contents of her stomach.

She can't see through her; Wednesday isn't transparent after all, but she can tell that the raven cares for her. Cares for her in her own way. The softer tone she uses when she says her name. The gentle creases around her eyes when their eyes meet. The way she trusts her with her story, with Thing, with her emotions, with… a lot.
She knows her, she knows her in a way she didn't anticipate, and she's sure Wednesday didn't either.

Wrong wrong wrong, Enid growled. Wednesday hated to be touched, and one layer of latex gloves wouldn’t change that.
“Wednesday,” She said, somewhere between a breath and a whimper. Her own fingers itched to reach out and grab her hand, to find a pulse beating in her wrist, but she didn’t, even though Wednesday was more comfortable with Enid touching her than anyone else, she couldn’t let herself do it without her knowledge. Not while she smelled of blood and rot and death. Enid inhaled deeply, working to control her pounding heart. Wednesday smelled so wrong.
