Summary

“No.”
“Come ooon~ Pretty please?” Jon whined as he tugged on his friends folded arms.
“Is that meant to sway me?” Damian snorted unamused and jerked away from Jon’s hold and continued to attempt to walk away from the boy only to have him on his heels all through the Manor.
“Yes.” Jon said as he hurried after Damian. “I don’t know why you won’t!”
“Because it is idiotic.” Damian stated, again.
“Tim and Kon do it, though!” Jon whined, softly kicking at the floor as they moved toward the stairs to head down.
“That…Kent, you are very dense.” Damian shook his head, did Jon really not know? Probably not, he supposed it wasn’t public knowledge not that the two were subtle about the fact they were dating. “We don’t have to do something just because they do it.”

Jon notices the height difference—he’s looking down at his mother. His father smiles, pride barely masking exhaustion, silver threads glinting at his temples.
The question claws its way out. “How long was I gone?” His voice cracks.
Lois and Clark exchange a brief, wordless glance Jon knows too well. Clark finally rests a warm hand on Jon’s shoulder. “Six years.”
