There’s a slight rustle off to one side. Ace turns his head in that direction, and finds he needs to blink some more.
A pair of little kids blink back at him.
Wavy hair, blonde, and ginger. Matching pale eyes, which- which feel familiar, but with the way his mind’s spinning, Ace can’t even begin to figure out why. The shorter kid’s clutching a weird golden disk, etched with symbols like a poneglyph, which Ace can only sort of see with the bigger one standing in the way.
Siblings. He’s looking at a pair of siblings. He remembers standing in front of Luffy like that countless times, blocking his little brother off from getting into trouble-
