Summary
The Runaway Kid always believed in a paradise. All children of the Maw did. It was a place specific to them, somewhere out in the world. Somewhere away from the Maw.
This belief is what drew him to the idea of escaping his prison, before settling for contentment among the Nomes. His hope had dwindled since, until one day, a sudden flame sparked up:
The smell of rot; the sound of flies; the sight of all the monsters dead. The flame which reminded him that paradise was real and he could get there.

Elsewhere, Mono had escaped the Signal Tower, waking up in an unfamiliar place. However, despite ending up far, far away from the Pale City, his peace would be short-lived. His only chance at prolonging said peace? Taking revenge on the “friend” who abandoned him: Six.

Summary
Bella Donna wasn’t too sure why Phonograph liked her. Was she simply that stupid, to think Bella thought of her as a friend, and not as a maid and nothing more? Surely she knew, from the way she’d insist on referring to her as “Lady Bella”, a formal title, to how she would refuse to call her Bella, no matter how closely she would stick to her side?
The woman’s submissiveness to Bella was confusing, but somewhat entertaining. Bella would have to admit, seeing Phonograph follow her every command was satisfying. And how she would always try to impress her and smile after every praise was kind of... cute?
