Summary
Izuku midoriya needs to get away from his family situation after his deadbeat father comes back wanting a relationship after years of absence and neglect. As he considers his options, he is reccomended a position as a fire lookout at a national park. Seeing this as an opportunity to get away and also earn some cash on the side, he drops his retail job and runs to the forests.
Katsuki Bakugo is troubled, his fuse is short and he needs the harmony of nature to balance out his fiery temper. His friend Kirishima offers him a spot to work as a fire lookout at a national park his family managed. Katsuki reluctantly takes it, needing to get away from Fashion college drama.
Soon the two young men start communicating through radio, discussing everything from the mundane to the strange and difficult. All without seeing one another.
(I was watching funkyfrogbaits Fears to fathom Ironbark Lookout play through and thought about twink towers. Then I remembered their Firewatch play through. So yeah I'm feeling a bit inspired)

Summary
A spark of One for All crackles across Izuku’s neck, and then immediately dies out. Hell, he doesn’t even have the strength for that.
Katsuki clicks his tongue. “Thought so. You can’t even summon your quirk. Way to go, hero.”
Izuku collapses back to the bed, covering his eyes with one arm. The tears spill out—but he’s not sad so much as angry. Bitterness coats his tongue. “Just get your laughs in and leave.”
“I’m sorry, you think this is fucking funny?”

Or, Izuku is hit with an unusual brand of hanahaki quirk and is resolved to die when Katsuki comes back into his life. But even if he confesses, he can't bring himself to follow through with the second part of the cure and forever stain Katsuki's conscience.

It was over with Katsuki’s small retreat backward to look at the board. Over when Katsuki’s hand slipped over the squares, only to grip a piece between his fingers. The glorious moment – over, punctuated with the drag of Katsuki’s queen across the board, and a final dreadful clicking sound.
Katsuki laughed, coming close again.
He whispered right into Izuku’s mouth, “Checkmate.”

Except as their relationship grows closer, Izuku begins to wonder if he knows the real person behind the Number One Hero at all…
Bakugou Katsuki is struggling to accept the change in his feelings towards Deku following the Slime Incident, especially when Deku starts acting strangely and keeping secrets from him. As their relationship grows closer, Katsuki begins to wonder if he can really save Deku from whatever darkness he’s hiding.
Alternatively: All Might is not nearly as righteous as everyone thinks, and it’s up to everyone else to figure out the truth before it’s too late.
