Lana Shepard hit the button to eject the safety pod she had just put Joker in right before a blast knocked her backward. She bounced off the corner behind her, hearing something crack, grasping at anything and everything that floated past her now that gravity was no longer in play. Nothing stuck. Everything was bits and pieces, falling apart in her hands, slipping through her fingers. She drifted farther and farther away from the wreckage of her beloved Normandy with no idea of what had become of her crew, her teammates, her friends.
