Hermione, feeling isolated and unwanted (except when Ron tries to get her alone, which she's not really interested in, thank you very much) accepts Minerva's offer to rebuild the Hogwarts library. After testifying at Malfoy's trial, she inadvertently becomes the only person anyone trusts not to hex him on sight, leading Minerva to entrust the oversight of his community service to her favorite former student. Now they just have to fix the library, themselves, and maybe each other.
