Jinx isn’t very familiar with babies, but when she turns toward the alley and listens, she can just feel in her bones that this isn’t a normal “I’m hungry!!” or “I’m gassy!!” or “I’m tired but too dumb to go to sleep!!” cry.
So, she cautiously creeps her way over to the alley, making sure to stay alert of her surroundings. It’d be really embarrassing if this was a trap and this is how she ended up getting arrested, so she has to make sure she can get away easily if she needs to.
She peeks her head around the wall, and freezes.
She isn’t sure what exactly she was expecting, but a very, very dead body wasn’t it.
or, post ep9: Jinx is in hiding from the Enforcers, only leaving her hideaway to gather necessary supplies, until she stumbles upon a dead body on one of her days out, to make matters worse; the dead person left behind a very much alive baby.
