Summary
Something was off in the Sonic household.
Tails noticed it as soon as he walked in; two empty cans of soda on the counter, two dirty plates in the sink, two controllers left out on the couch. On their own, nothing particularly out of the ordinary in their home. But the lone, stray black quill nestled in the carpet beneath the couch? That was quite damning.
Sonic was never one to pay attention to details, but this was a new low.

contrary to popular belief, spending six months in space jail and being fed illusion after illusion comes with some pretty unpleasant consequences. they keep sonic up at night, but luckily for him, he isn’t alone.
