Here's my finished version of art #99 of the Tolkien Reverse Summer Bang 2025 exchange. My prompt was picked up by the wonderful Lithdraug who wrote a thrilling longfic for it - of Bilbo setting out (rather involuntarily) to destroy the one ring. Cheering each other on with our projects over the summer was wonderful!
Please visit the story The courage of a Hobbit and give it love - it holds a special place in my heart and I couldn’t be prouder of this fic that grew well out of it's original planned lenght and like a Mearas ran off with us both.

A collection of illustrations done as part of the WIP-Roundup event at the Acorns and Oak Leaves server. I loved working on this and feel so privileged to have watched the creation of the fic, and being able to draw for it! Every single drawing for this went snowballing on me, in the best way. I highly recommend reading it, and am so happy I got this chance to work with Fantasyinallforms!
TW: There will be whump and angst in the upcoming chapters (I'll warn chapterwise when I post them).

After signing up for the Year of Banners event at the Acorns and Oakenshield server (@acorn-and-oakleaves on tumblr) and studying the prompts post BOTFA, dragon Bilbo, Butterflies, and Storm, where I could choose one, or all, I briefly considered and just as quickly discarded drawing Thorin post BOTFA with a pet Bilbo dragon riding through a butterfly storm. When reading the second chapter of Kathleen_ThePigeonOne's beautiful post-BOTFA story "Steps Untaken" I knew I wanted to draw something inspired by Bilbo and Thorin and a private moment in their garden. This is it!

Drawn as a part of the WIP-Round-Up at the Acorn and Oak Leaves server, inspired by the wonderful and original Bagginshield story Reforged by RevenantRaven. It's beautifully written, go read it and give it love! This image shows Bilbo reforged as half hobbit, half dwarrow and is directly inspired by the following passage:
They stepped onto the dock, covered by a grand canopy and kept going until they reached a specific boat. Yavanna laid him down upon the bed, plucking a golden flower from her crown and tucking it behind his ear. “I have many wishes for you, little one, but first and foremost, I wish you to live a life of love.” She whispered before backing up and looking to her husband.
Together, they sent the boat off down the river to Ennor. -

This is my take on I_did_not_mean_to's TRSB25 prompt "Disaster or Destiny?" (slide #14): Ori is having some kind of car trouble. Where is he going? What will happen? The focus must be on the romance. Ori may be any gender and sexuality, but the partner should be female-presenting. Humour, Pining, Hurt/Comfort are equally welcome.Ori wakes up on the shoulder of the highway, car steaming and turning lights flashing, front end of the car ground into the guard rail. At first, he has no memory of where he is or how he got there. Luckily, Liv arrives on site. Taking him for a check-up in the ER should be quick, right?

Thorin came across a leg injury in the market and just had to have it (or at least that's what he told Legolas when asked). Thorin-on-a-couch forced to rest after following Bilbo to the Silvan elves' kingdom lived rent free in my head after reading Domesticgodess longfic One of a King - and I enjoyed myself greatly drawing him in his new elven clothes.

"Thorin and Bilbo have been thrown in the same cell of Thranduil's jail. They bond, and are very close by the time they manage to escape. Unfortunately, Thorin sort of forgot to mention to Bilbo that he's a Prince of Erebor - and Bilbo doesn't know how to feel about it when he finds out. They have to figure out how to navigate their friendship, and their fledgling feelings for each other, in this new situation."
I figured there could be some snuggling while in a cell - and am hyped to read the fic by firsthandskeleton (KeyWolf25888)! I had fun drawing this :)

These are my illustrations for the bittersweet story "Unbroken" (Fic #5 in Thorin Spring Forge 2025).
I was lucky enough to read snippets throughout the collab - and dreaming of how the scenes in the story could look. It was an absolute joy! Warm thanks to the wonderful SunnyRose, who provided inspiration, fun exchanges and discussion on backstory and implications for the goings-on in the story, mutually feelings of "sorry Bilbo for killing off your boyfriend", and generally giving me a creative outlet in a somewhat stressful spring. Thank you!!

This is our submission for THAUC 2024.
My darling partner was Sublimpingvin. It was an honour and a joy to write this for and with Pingvin who's been nothing but amazing through every step of it! <3I've decided to put all 4 parts into one work. Please do not be alarmed by the number of chapters - a few are just to introduce a break between the different parts.

The prompts used were
- Ori is recounting the quest, trying to put his story into words/sketches. How does it differ from the actual events? (aka, better? worse? romanticized?)
- Crime Show AU (Who murdered Thrain and is he really dead?)
- The struggles of romance when one race is prone to great gestures of courtship, while the other is not.
