Summary
“As you can see,” he grits through his teeth, pointing at the visitor badge, “I am a visitor, not a stunt man. My name is Ryland, I'm Colt’s twin brother.”
The stranger opens his mouth. Ryland keeps going.
“Yes, really. Big shock, apparently. Anyway, it was nice meeting you, whoever you are, but I really need to get going.”
Ryland knows, distantly, somewhere beyond the haze of headache, that he is being rude. Nonetheless, he gives what might be his fakest apologetic smile to date and turns away, not waiting for an answer.
If he had the capacity for it in the moment, he would have seen the affronted look on the stranger’s (vaguely familiar?..) face, heard the way he repeated ''whoever you are?!'' as if it was an insult, and felt bad about it.But, well, he hadn’t.

“Because I want some coffee,” Ren continues, looking like he doesn’t know exactly what he just fucking did. Like they’re talking about their plans for the evening. Like Goro isn’t trying to secure whatever last bit of agency they have left.
He tries not to snap, with moderate success.
“Can you take this seriously for one fucking second?”
----
yeah. yet another 2/2 fic, in which they both take it very seriously 👍 no, really.

Summary
Laying on their back, they breathe in. Out. Repeat five times. And for a blissful moment, it is quiet. The sky is beautiful and sunny, the wisps sound like birds in the distance, and there's nothing echoing in their head.
And then they think about it again.
(Or, Rook is having a normal one after Weisshaupt)

Summary
“Can I still give you flowers, though?”
Frye wants to say no, wants to tell them it’s not worth the effort, that he isn’t worth the effort, and where would he even put them on his ship, but he just nods instead.
Jan smiles, delighted, and Frye thinks this is the biggest mistake he’s ever made in his life.
