Summary
Eve is a respected attending who takes her role in charge of the ER very seriously.
When the hospital administrator demands she takes on a new Resident mid year, Eve is not at all happy.
The fact that up until a few months ago, that same resident was touring the world in a rock band, does not give Eve any comfort.
Returning to her medical career has been a huge decision for Villanelle. Now, her hopes of having an understanding attending seem dead in the water as Eve makes her disdain for the former rockstar very clear.

She might one day decide that she was bored of Eve, that she was not longer worth the trouble. Would she just kill her then? Eve wasn’t sure, but she did know that, until that day, Villanelle would not allow anyone to hurt her.

Picks up in Episode 2x06 right after the argument between Eve and Niko. He wants to know how Villanelle knew what Eve would like. This is a rewrite of the end of Season 2 because it was my favorite part of the show, but it could have been better. Don't worry all the best parts from Season 2 will still be in there, plus more... let's just say, spicier moments.

Summary
Villanelle watched the microcosm of reactions that expressed terror and appreciation and annoyance and fascination flit across Eve's face. She had forgotten the effect it had on her. Playing with other people, manipulating them, that got boring in minutes. Killing them barely raised her heartbeat. But the slightest furrow of Eve's brow had her enraptured.
It would have been nice if she knew why. Maybe if she studied Eve for long enough, she would find out.

Alternate canon starting at the end of Season 1, because this is where I think the show should have gone. Villanelle is extradited and recruited to MI6 as an assassin. She only has one request—that Eve Polastri be her handler.
