Summary
Ghost stands there, in his tactical gear, his balaclava almost completely shredded and all bloodied up.
That’s how he died, Johnny’s brain tells him. That’s how he died. Alone and in pain. And you weren’t there to help him.
Johnny’s bottom lip trembles, tears rise up along his waterline; clinging to his eyelashes. He doesn’t know if it’s because of his hallucination or because of the pain in his brain. There’s so much happening that he doesn’t even realize he’s taking his gloves off. They fall to the floor, but he doesn’t look down. Ghost is looking at him, he realizes, and there’s this slump of his body that Johnny watches happen that almost makes him think Simon is actually in front of him.
Johnny takes a step, his knee almost giving out on him. He pushes through it, though. In his peripheral, he can see Price looking at him. Worry. That’s what Johnny sees on his face.
“John–”
It’s too late.
or, laswell sends ghost on a mission without soap, and things spiral from there.

Summary
It is not without horror that Ghost discovers he developed an undeniable obession with Soap's hair somewhere along the way. He just cannot stop thinking about it and he yearns to bury his fingers in it, feel how soft it is. It's a shame he can't come up with an excuse to do so though.

It’s almost religious, the way Soap carries out the ritual of maintaining his mohawk at the appropriate length and Ghost genuinely hates it. Just when the strands on top get a little longer, starting to wave softly, something delightful about them falling to the sides when they are still wet from the shower, Soaps goes in and cuts them shorter, as if it is his personal vendetta against Ghost.Now with a beautiful illustration by MizuShiba<3
