Glinda glanced around, as if trying to find something hidden in their surroundings and coming up short.
“So long as I can take counsel with your anchoress.”
That officially dragged proceedings to a halt, all feet stopping in a cluttered shuffle except for Glinda’s pair moving ever forward.
“With our anchoress?”
Glinda nodded and put on her most winning smile.
“The very one,” Glinda said, “Or, rather, I suppose it is possible that you have two? Is the other hiding in the kitchen behind the preservatives?”

“If only someone paid attention to their surroundings while they were flying around on that dirty old thing.” Glinda gestures with a curled lip towards Elphaba’s broom, and Elphaba huffs in irritation.
“Excuse me for not considering all the other flying people out there,” Elphaba drolls, then glances around. They’re in some sort of contraption—a metal platform encased in a shiny, shifting transparent sphere—hovering steady in the fog. “What the hell even is this thing?”
“My bubble,” Glinda announces with a proud lift of her chin.

“Stay away from Elphaba Thropp.”
