His childish denial was only the last resistance before his eyes welled up and he stood up. He stumbled blindly toward his mother. Pen was already leaving her seat and kneeling down with her arms out to cuddle the baby.

Summary
This is a Mother's Day story dedicated particularly to those who struggle with Mother's Day for any variety of reasons. But I hope it will be enjoyed by everyone, even those with good motherhood experiences. Tim and Lucy both have rough relationships with their parents. This story highlights them struggling to get pregnant in the future as well as reminiscing on their own histories with their mothers. But there is a happy ending in store for them.
