A silent hush carried across the space, heavy in its stillness but not uncomfortable, as the world had simply paused and forgotten to move forward. Glisten felt his fingers gently intertwine with his, the contact slow and certain, as if neither of them needed to think about it for it to happen. For a moment, neither of them had the need to say anything, and even the silence felt full, like it belonged to them alone.
He wasn’t sure how long they stayed like that, time blurring in a way that made it feel unimportant. Just this was enough. Just the warmth beside him, the steady presence he didn’t have to chase or question.
"You'll never lose me," he whispered eventually, letting his voice carry out among the stillness of the room.
He truly meant it.
In no world would he ever consider himself whole without him by his side.
And so, for as long as he would live, he would never leave his side again.

“O-oh that- that’s not necessar-“ Rodger cut himself off as one of Glistens hands gently touched the side of his face.
“Don’t even worry, Rodgey!” Glisten said as he pulled a wipe from the package. “I’ll get that off in a jiffy!”{or}
After a research run, Glisten discovers a spot of ichor on his friends face and like the good toon he is, offers to get it for him.

Summary
Vee rarely shows emotions. Everyone knows this. She used to, before the shutdown, but has deferred to logic in these trying times. Everyone appreciates having a calm voice of reason around, so they don’t question it.
Glisten is perfect. Everyone knows this. He never makes mistakes and is always reliable to do anything and everything wonderfully. No one has ever questioned why he’s so dedicated to the image of perfection.
It’s only a matter of time before they both either give up the facade or break trying to hold it up.
