    Summary

Peter wasn’t going to let May pay the rent all on her own. Not when there was two of them, not when being Spider-Man made everything that much harder.

And if that meant washing scratched up dishes and scrubbing old blood from the tile grout at Sister Margaret’s School for Wayward Girls, then so be it.

But then one night, his skin turned blue.

(If only his problems didn’t multiply from there.)

    Bookmarker's Notes

I guess I haven't bookmarked this yet. It's a WIP that I love. It mixes the bartender Peter Parker (under an alias) trope with going heavy into science fiction for some AU plot and surprises. It also explores the "Peter Parker is a genius so he has time to do stuff after school and before school, plus his healing factor means he doesn't need all that much sleep" trope

    Bookmarker's Notes

An interesting concept story, in progress, with a lot of heart from a new writer. Writer appears to not like chapter comments that transact with material enthusiastically or gently addressing any point of the story.
I'm continuing to enjoy the story as it is posted.

    Summary

After the world forgot him, Peter kept fighting. He was Spider-Man after all. But as the villains get worse and the heroes dwindle, Peter finally grows tired. Hasn't he done his time? He's never once shirked the responsibility forced upon him. Never once has he put himself first.

Eventually, the straw breaks the camel's back. Peter finally hangs up the cape.

Unfortunately the universe seems to disagree. When Peter wakes up in Gotham he knows he should probably find a way home. But what's the point? Normal people don't find their way home across the multiverse, and Peter is normal now. He refuses to be anything else.

So why do unfamiliar heroes keep ending up on his doorstep? And can he really turn them away?

    --

In which Peter Parker just wants to retire but instead he becomes a mentor for young dcu heroes and his home becomes a vigilante halfway house

I really am enjoying this work, and always am happy when it is updated.
Yep, it's still great, even if I'm not allowed to comment. (and I don't know why)

    Summary

The first time Pepper, Rhodey and the Avengers each meet Peter; each at a different stage in Tony and Peter's relationship.

Pepper: She was definitely curious about Peter Parker. There was something in Tony’s eyes when he talked about the kid that Pepper didn’t think she’d ever seen in Tony’s eyes before. She had no idea what it was or what it meant, but it ignited her interest.

Rhodey: He could pretend it was because he missed his friends- which wasn’t a lie. But more than anything, Rhodey was hoping for a chance to (officially) meet Peter Parker. Tony had mentioned nonchalantly that he was “looking out” for the young superhero, but it was Pepper who had spilled the full beans.

The Avengers: Tony was different now. Quieter, more settled. And Steve was sure there were more reasons behind this change than the diamond ring on Pepper’s left hand. He just didn’t know what.

A lovely "missing scene" that if you squint hard is a "what-if" to go with the intern-Peter trope stories.

    Summary

Tony feels like he's in a good place right now. He's got a great fiancee, a makeshift but settled little family, and he's even in a fairly ok place with the former Rogues.

So naturally the universe decides to throw him some curve balls, when he gets a call one morning from the police claiming they've just picked up Howard and Maria Stark from the side of the road.

And that's not the only time-related event about to unfold.

    Tony really hates time travel.

    Bookmarker's Notes

The author has some great opening notes on the science fiction and tone of the story.

I've just read and enjoyed the first two chapters and subscribed, but comments are not allowed on the chapters.

A lot of lovely character moments so far, good dialogs and descriptions. In character and situational angst.

Can only give one kudo per story, but several of them have me try again. Chapter 5 was just posted and it was a good "pay-off" chapter to the scenario and set-up, as well as super high quality writing for narrative, dialog and character moments.

Mixed feelings about the de-aging part of the plot that comes along quite a bit after the mid-point of the story, but it is handled well, not changing the tone of the story too much.

Chapter 10 out of 30 - new ground, emotional fireworks, partial reveals. Good pay off and carry forward chapter. Wanted to give 3 more kudos.

So far in later chapters the family relationship dynamic for good (with Peter) or ill (with Howard) continues to pay off, while keeping a mystery about why certain things have happened.
