MAJOR SPOILERS FOR TRANSFORMERS ONE AHEAD READ WITH CAUTION
It happened in slow motion. The sound of the blaster and crushed metal stretched into infinity, and the smell of burning Energon filled the air. D-16 could only watch his best friend and Conjunx Endura, his whole world, explode into thousands of pieces from a blast of his cannon. Screaming echoed across the plaza. He doesn’t know if they are his own, Bee’s, or Elita’s, but it doesn’t matter. Dee’s body moves faster than his processor does. Orion was falling over the edge and into the Well of All Sparks. The impact of Dee’s blast pushed Orion further from his reach forever.
AKA: D-16 shoots Orion and immediately regrets it. This is what happens after.

“I’m not sure I can trust you,” said Ultra Magnus, relishing the way Optimus’s faceplate flushed with humiliation. “You’ll have a guard for those two weeks, and you will stay here, in Fortress Maximus, to ensure you don’t try anything creative.” He stepped closer, hating the way Optimus held his ground. “By the way, Optimus—you will succeed in charming Megatron. He was entirely correct when he said the Decepticons have the Allspark. This treaty must succeed.” He leaned forward. “Or I will know exactly at whose stabilizers the blame lies.”
Optimus finds himself betrothed to Megatron, and Megatron a surprisingly courteous suitor. But the Decepticons are afraid of something, a looming threat on the edge of known space...
...and Decepticon machinations may be the least of Optimus's worries.

Summary
Luffy is a cheerful boy, he always has been. But it's strange, ever since he ate that devil fruit, the world has seemed different somehow.
The world seemed to be a much brighter place than it had been before. Perhaps it was the promise Luffy had made to Shanks. Perhaps it was just that the sun had chased away the little shadows that sadness cast upon the world. Perhaps it was just that the world was better somehow.
Or perhaps it wasn’t that the world was more beautiful. Perhaps it was just that Luffy was looking at it better, more clearly than he ever had before. As if for the very first time.
