Summary
Left behind in Night City, V is slowly dying as the Relic destroys her body. Rather than lie down and die, she decides to leave her flesh behind and look for Johnny beyond the Blackwall.
When V and Johnny smashed Mikoshi, they released thousands of souls into Alt’s care. Every one of them followed her past the Blackwall, to Ghost City, where the soulkilled can live under her protection. V will soon find out that living as a disembodied engram is weirder than she imagined. She might be free from the ravages of the Relic, but trouble has a way of finding her.

Summary
One second V was floating through cyberspace, her body replaced by zeroes and ones, and another she suddenly stood in the middle of a club. Not just any club though. She's been here before, but that was when the club had been turned into a dingy ramen shop. Her thoughts wandered to Johnny and his defeated look when he had realized what happened to his beloved Rainbow Cadenza.
The smooth and electric sound that blared through the speakers startled her awake. She'd recognize that sound anywhere — almost like she had played the tunes herself. She could feel the buzz shake her core as she forced herself forward through the crowd to get a better look at the stage. When she looked up, there was no one else than Johnny Silverhand. But something was different about him. He wasn't see through nor was there the usual static of his hologram that made him flicker. It almost seemed like he was really there in flesh.

V is an average mercenary with average-mercenary problems. Well... mostly.
Some things can break a person, and some people are already broken.There's no way to tell how much of yourself you can take losing until it's gone- that's the real danger behind surviving in this world.
Johnny Silverhand already knows that. But is it too late for V?Meant to be sort of like a DLC questline that has new potential endings (the fic will only have one) and a romance-Johnny option, but with enough bite to scratch that I-didn't-get-to-play-this itch.
Centered around the transmasc mercenary V and his reluctant digital companion. Story revolves around themes of moral ambiguity, survival under violent and oppressive systems, romance developed under strain and through shared trauma.
Plans for future chapters: they're happening.

Summary
V was once a joy-toy for the Valentinos. After a short stint in Atlanta, she came back to Night City to start over. After a botched job where the only reward was a life-long friend, V has gone further with Jackie than any other man. After he dies, V fights to survive against the Relic.
Back from the dead, Johnny never would have imagined he would be stuck in a joy toy. At least not in this way. *Sorry, FORMER joy toy. As time went on in her head, skimming through memories. Johnny realizes he may want to make his own with her.
