Summary
So, Soap’s a big guy. Obviously.
He’s not overly tall, but he’s wide in the shoulders and thick in the thighs. He’s the kind of big that’s naturally built all over: training muscles on top of mission muscles on top of an innate bulk.
He’s the kind of big that makes him immovable to most guys.
The kind of big that’s always been -ger than most everyone else—if not by height, than at least by heft.
So when they’re on mission and Ghost spots a grenade before Soap does, and, with no time to warn him, grabs him by the waist and flings him back behind cover, gear and all, Soap’s really not expecting to think much about it, aside from maybe, ‘Oh, shit.’
What he thinks instead is: ‘Oh-hmm.’
And then, in rapid succession: ‘Big.’

Or, Soap realizes that Ghost is bigger than him. His dick realizes that’s hot.

---It's the first time he's seen himself like this since he fell, naked as the day he was born and reflected in the full-length standing mirror in his bedroom. He's almost glad of the low-lighting cast from the bedside lamp as his fingers trace the edge of the bruise across his torso, feeling the ache settled deep within him as he finally sees it. Sees the hurt. The damage. The way his body was broken and put back together by names and faces he can't remember, too unconscious, too delirious to recognise more than blurred shapes in his peripherals.
Ghost had been a sentinel. Every time Soap had blinked awake for long enough to grasp something real, something that goes beyond the edges of his body, Simon had been right there, curled into a chair too small for him, too plastic to be comfortable, surviving on snatches of conversation that Soap forgot.
