Summary
Seven years ago, Kaelie (Kaija) is the only survivor of an incident that tore apart her hometown (or that's what she’s been led to believe). However, the fragments of that night haunt her. The conspiracy lands her in a mental institution after the events for two years, and after a near death experience, she disappears from her old life.
Kraath’Zhul (Malice) is an elite cleaner for his clan, The Wild Hunt. Earth is not a normal hunting ground, but a crashed ship with xenomorphs on board tearing apart a tiny desert town. This human woman is the only survivor of that night, so in order to protect their clan and species – he erases her memory. In secret, he keeps track of her, but he can't decide if he’s protecting her or if he’s fascinated by her.
Except, she still searches for answers and too many times, she comes close. Except the last time lands her in the attention of his brother, Thrall’Vek who is intent on taking care of the problem once and for all. This was supposed to be a typical bug hunt. The plan itself was simple: locate the hive; rescue any humans found along the way; kill the queen, then the hive; and celebrate with the squad over a few rounds after everything is accounted for; rinse and repeat. Corporal Caleb Grace wasn't expecting anything out of the ordinary, until he meets face-to-face with a yautja hunter deep inside the hive. The pair begrudgingly work together to survive, fighting off the xenomorphs while also fighting off the feelings they have for each other. ;)
