Summary
Trapped on an uninhabited, frozen planet after an away mission goes wrong there is nothing for Janeway and Paris to do other than stay warm and await rescue. They have the whole, beautiful wilderness all to themselves. What could possibly go wrong?

“You know what it reminds me of? Going home to Indiana for Christmas. Of course, I used to go back to a big rambling farmhouse, so it’s not exactly the same, but … The feel of it. The wide, open, snow-covered landscape. The sense that you’ve managed to step out of the 24th century into a quieter, simpler time. And it’s the right time of year, too. Christmas is coming up in a few days.”
She allows her head to drop back and a quiet laugh escapes her lips.
“All I really need to feel completely festive is a cup of mulled wine and a good ghost story.”
