Summary

“I said don’t touch me!” he yells and shoves his hand between her thighs, fingering her brutally through her trousers.
“There!” he sneers. “How does it feel to be groped by your enemy without your consent?”
She throws a punch at his face but he catches her wrist in time and squeezes so hard she cries out. He advances on her, pressing her arm against her body, and slams her to the ground. She lands hard on her back.
“What is wrong with you?!” Rey shouts, scrambling to her feet.
“Nothing I want to discuss with you, scavenger,” he snarls and turns away.
“You don’t get to walk away like that! You will tell me what’s going on! Something bad has happened to you. I've sensed it through the bond since you arrived!”
“Oh, you can feel it too?” he hisses, turning back slowly and bringing his face so close to her she jerks away. “Have a good look, then.”
His eyes flash yellow.
Rey screams.

This, this is what, who he’s been waiting for. Which is especially odd since he wants to be a Jedi Master, and Luke has never been seen with anyone. Is it even allowed? He’d never thought it would matter much to him.
But now, now it godsdamned matters, because he’s in love. At least he thinks he is. He’s 19 and he’s never felt like this before, so it’s hard to tell. And he’s not going to ask anyone. He has a hard enough time hiding her from the voices as it is.
Because that’s one thing he does know. Rey isn’t to be shared.

Now, as she lay on her bunk listening to the squall blustering outside, she could see how much progress they had made. It had been slow going, but every time Rey sees him, she sees more and more of the real him returning.

There’s a nagging voice in the back of her head telling her to take Ben’s hand, outstretched towards her, the destruction of Snoke’s throne room glowing around them.
“Please,” He whispers, dark eyes pleading, his trembling outstretched fingertips a sort of peace offering - a promise.
“Take off your glove,” Rey commands, and there’s a flash of confusion in Ben’s eyes before he pulls his hand back and rips off the glove, just like he’d done that night through their Force bond. And Rey is looking at Ben Solo again.
She places her fingertips in his palm.
