As a child, Rin burnt exceptionally quickly and severely. Whenever he and his family went for days out in the sun he had to heavily cover himself from the sun or stay home.
However, with Kurikara now opened Rin deduced his demonic healing would heal the sunburns before any real impact was made on his body.
So of course, with this conclusion not backed up in any way he decides going to the beach in the summer is a great idea.
