Palpatine chuckled and stepped around his desk to stand in front of Fox.
“I’m surprised it took you so long, Commander. I mean, I wasn’t really subtle about all this towards you and your fellow guards. And when I think about your little… gift, I honestly wonder what caused you to be so blind”
Fox glared at the old man in front of him. All his brothers that were dying at the front lines, day by day; it was all this man's fault.
“What do you mean with ‘little gift’?”
Palpatine chuckled again.
“You’re force-sensitivity, my dear Commander“

After finding out that Clone Marshal Commander CC-1010 is force-sensitive, Palpatine manipulates Fox into thinking that he can save his brothers by becoming his apprentice. -

Summary
Sidious has fallen and the Empire has fractured. The New Republic is tentatively re-building itself, navigating the strained relations and open wounds left by decades of harsh Imperial rule.
Fox has survived to see the new dawn, despite the immense challenges levied on him as a clone soldier and the crushing despair left by his life as a Sith puppet. He is bitter and jaded; really only looking forward to a peaceful death of his own chosing when he is called to speak before the New Republic Senate and comes face to face with the only being capable of ripping his old scars open to the bone.
