There's a storm in the North Sea and Muir is a fairly new worker on the oil rig and he isn't accustomed to the weather on the platform. Innes on the other hand, his coworker, is a very experienced rigger who has been on the job for many years. He attempts to soothe Muir's nerves by distracting him from the intense weather.

He will always put one thing above anything else, though, his beloved Mary. When Mary went back to the Mainland, things were fine for the most part, until the letters stopped coming in. He waited patiently for her letter, and today it finally came! But it doesn't bear the news he wanted to hear.
