Summary
This is the story of Cheryl Blossom, a wealthy teen girl whose life is a contradiction of being trapped and free at the same time.
Free because after the death of her father her mother could care less about her whereabouts, but trapped in constant anxiety about what or who she did with that freedom.Her mother constantly reminds her not to disrespect the family name and that representation and status are everything.
Unfortunately, Cheryl has to hide her true self because according to her mother, she isn't on par with societal standards in their small town.
Cheryl complies with her mother's wishes to be the perfect daughter in public until she's had enough and wants to live her life for herself with the help of a new friend who gives her butterflies and also the courage to be her unapologetic self.
