It might have just been recognition of another soul trapped under people too big for him to fight, but then he turned up on the bus, and in Palmetto, in Andrew’s space and in his life, breathing his air, believing in him -like the stubborn fool that he was- pushing him forward, demanding effort, and Andrew couldn’t look away.
