“I think we’re actually lost,” said Noah.
No one responded. “Hello, can anyone hear me?”
“I think we’re actually fucking lost.” grumbled Ronan.
“That’s what I said!” exclaimed Noah. “Can no one hear me?” None of his friends responded. Noah told himself to be calm. After all, this had happened before. But it was very rare for it to occur with Blue around.
“Where’s Noah?” asked Blue, as if on cue.
“He probably ditched us,” said Ronan dismissively. Noah knew that Ronan wasn’t actually callous, in fact he’d bet his friend was the biggest softie of them all. Still, his dismissal hurt.
“Or he can’t manifest here.” said Adam, straight forward, matter of fact.
Suddenly, Noah felt a spasm of pain. He faded.
