Summary
The best love stories start with a dog.
Ryland Grace is used to chaos. It comes with the territory when you teach middle school science. But a white dog wandering into his classroom? That's new. So is texting the owner, making a fool of himself, and accidentally falling for a man he's never even met.
Simon Fisher has his hands full with Laika, his niece Charlie, and a fresh start in a new town. He doesn't have time for distractions. He definitely doesn't have time for the kind of distraction that makes his heart race from a single photo.
But the universe has other plans. When Charlie ends up in Ryland's class, Simon realizes some things are worth the risk.

Grace shoves both of his hands into his hair and groans at the ceiling.

"Then hurry up and fix it if you want me gone," Simon retorts, his jaw ticking."I don't know how."
Simon, who's clearly lost his patience, leans forward and hisses, "Then we're obviously fucking stuck with each other."

Summary
Ryland Grace is a passionate middle school teacher. Giving classes was not enough, so three years ago he started a science YouTube channel. He's pretty successful, but he'd never dream of leaving his job. He loves reading, watching movies, nerding out, hanging out with his roommates Rocky and Adrian and, occasionnally, throw it down on the dancefloor.
Simon Jones is a bored-out-of-his-mind IT guy. He's been looking for another job for the past few weeks, he's had enough. His life consists of going to his shitty work, hitting the gym, going home and hanging out with his roommate Ava. He loves catching up on all the books, movies and other media he didn't have access to back growing up. He also loves watching educational YouTube videos to satisfy his curiosity. He particularly enjoys Space with Grace and always makes sure to leave a comment, to which the creator answers without fault.
One day, Grace announces he'll be at a convention right there in San Francisco. Ava and Simon decide to go.Simon meets his favourite YouTuber at a convention. They become friends. Just friends?

Colt's injured on set (again) but oh no it's too late for them to find another stuntman. Luckily for them, Colt's twin brother Ryland owes him a huge favor. Simon, the stunt coordinator, doesn't love that he's been sacked with someone who has absolutely no experience and is shaking like a leaf at the idea of jumping off a building. Colt is insistent that he'll pull through, and at least he's nice to look at.

Summary
Simon hated to admit it, but he loved his job. He never thought of himself as a teacher, but life seemed to have had other plans for him. While his transition to teaching and civilian life hadn't been the smoothest, he was finally feeling confident entering his third year at Grover Cleveland Prep. He had managed to scare off his colleagues just enough that they would leave him to his work. It was an ideal working environment: his own room, the students, his plants.
That is, until a new, highly overqualified biology teacher moves into the classroom next door. Suddenly, Simon's job isn't quite as idyllic as it had once been.

“So what does your dad do for work?” Ryland wasn’t the greatest with small talk, but he was genuinely curious. He had seen glimpses of his dad in passing a few times, but with it being early in the year there hadn't been any parent-teacher conferences to officially meet. Sol looked up at Ryland with a big smile.
“He’s a florist, his shops downtown and it's really pretty. He has a ton of flowers all over the place, some are even hanging on the ceiling. Dad lets me come to work with him on the weekends and I get to pick out a bouquet for the table.” he said in nearly a single breath. He was back to bouncing on his feet, but this time out of excitement.
