Percy wakes up with a start. His eyes focus, and the same face is staring down at him. The same blue eyes, the same elvish features, same skin tone-
Before he knows it, Percy lunges up, grabbing Luke with one hand, uncapping riptide with the other, kicking out with a leg and twisting until Luke is pinned underneath him. Percy slashes with riptide, forwards, under Luke’s neck until-
Hands appear in front of his neck, stopping the blade from touching. Golden blood emerges, staining the celestial bronze blade.
Golden blood? Luke doesn’t have golden blood.
Breath heaving and confused, Percy looks up at Luke’s face.
The large, intrusive scar that runs down Luke’s face isn’t there. His hair isn’t blonde, it’s brown. His eyes aren’t glowing golden. The presence that Kronos emits isn’t there. It’s not Luke. But if it’s not Luke, then that means -
Oh no.
Oh no no no.
It’s Hermes.

Summary
After regaining his memories, Percy had spent more time than he'd like to admit wondering why Poseidon let Hera wipe his memories and steal months of his life. He figured that the gods thought that it was the only way for them to win against Gaea, by using him to unite the camps. A very small part of him had wondered if Poseidon simply didn't care enough, after Percy fulfilled his role and chose to preserve Olympus.
"You are my child." Poseidon says. He wraps an arm around Percy and pulls him closer, until Percy's head is tucked in the space between Poseidon's shoulder and neck. Sitting here, wrapped in his father's cloak and embrace, with the warm fire crackling at his back and the scent of his mother's cooking from the nectar in his mug, Percy can almost believe that he's not in Tartarus. It's all too easy to imagine that he's at their Mohawk cabin in Long Island Sound, sitting by the ocean at night and listening to the waves crash against the shore.
"When I am able, I will always protect you."

Summary
The first werewolf Stiles ever sees is a goofy looking dude with floppy brown hair and a crooked smile, leaning up against a black camaro outside the high school, wearing an oversized leather jacket, surrounded by half a dozen other preternaturally beautiful girls and guys, also in leather. Also probably werewolves.
They look like they stepped right out of Twilight and it’s not subtle.
