Summary
Izuku knew that Yagi Toshinori had many plans for him. The man told him often that he would help him become a true hero, or even something better than a hero. Yagi sought to destroy all the "fake" heroes out there, and Izuku would serve as an example of what a true hero was, in Toshinori's terms. Yes, Toshi had a plan laid out for him, and Izuku knew it. And who was he to argue? He had no power to defy the man, he was too strong, too influential, and honestly, he was too kind for Izuku to really want to do anything but obey him and the path carefully laid out for him by the man who seemed to honestly want what was best for him.
But then Izuku reached U.A. He found friends, amazing friends with kind hearts who didn't treat him as an outsider like so many others had in the past, who would undoubtedly make fantastic heroes some day. He found a teacher who pushed him to do his best, who listened to him and took him seriously, and was there far more than any of his teachers in his other schools had.
